Find a bar that you can reach from the ground that is sufficently strong enough to support your weight. Most gyms will have a chin-up bar.
When you are doing chin ups DO NOT allow your arms to straighten, as it could lead to injury.
Grab the bar with palms facing away from you. Start from a hanging position (arms slightly bent) pull yourself up so that your chin is higher than your hands. Have someone count. If your arms straighten or you do not lift your chin high than the bar (or your hands) it does not count. |
